A standout track from Clark's Body Riddle album, Ted sifts through different elements of electronica into a detailed array of challenging programming and deep synthesized sounds. Bouncing trampoline beats richochet atop handclaps and interweave between processed melodic synths, that manage to wobble in a detuned fashion.
A Bibio Remix retains Ted's original structure and melody, only reworking the song as an outsider folk track played back through a broken radio and complete with swashing reversed parts. The pummelling beats of Bruise Animations takes a stop-start approach, with the stuttered drums adding contrast to plucked acoustic guitars.
The high tempo leanings of the first three tracks are then tossed aside for the EP's second half, showcasing Clark's broad range of stylings.
The disposable ambient of Mia Farrow takes in the faint echoes of drums and rustic piano notes, the wind chimes of Springtime Epiphany recall vintage Four Tet and the eerily gruesome strings of the warped-orchestral flavoured Cremation Drones, should be placed alongside Goblin for best horror film soundtrack.
Clark is a rare producer whose paint splatted pallet impressively absorbs both electronic and non-electronic influences.
