Amon Tobin- Four Ton Mantis
Floria Sigismond has taken this single from Supermodified, Tobin's most accessible blend of samples and hard heating electronic beats and created a visual monster that is illegal to kill, due to international law.

Gurley Mix
Here’s an all Steve Gurley mix. I am ripping this from the Dutty Artz who rippied it from the dubstepforum, who in turn ripped it from Uptown Music Forum, where it was posted about a year ago. The mix was done by someone named AverageJoe, an ordinary DJ with a funny Homer Simpson gif as his MySpace default.Steve Gurley Mix
Oris Jay (Darqwan)
Oris Jay’s influence has never been more powerful…His dark sound revolutionized the UK garage and breaks scenes and laid the foundations for 21st Century dubstep.. this is the boy what wrote the book..
Oris produces as Darqwan, DQ1 and RS4… He’s based in Sheffield, Steel City, home of his seminal label Texture.
A serious vinyl collector by the age of 8 and hardcore raver at 15, Oris began playing out at 16 and fast cultivated a reputation as one of the most unique and incendiary live DJs in the world… Taiwan, London, Estonia, Switzerland, the US and Australia have all tasted Oris’s vital melt of dubstep, breaks, grime, electronics, UK garage, hardcore, jungle and d&b.
So let’s rewind a little.. Oris Jay first made an impact on the Jungle scene in the early 90s tearing up the North with DJ Pioneer (Delta Romeo) and MC’s E-Man and Hero as The Reflex Crew.
As the fresh sound of UK garage hit London, so did Oris… He went home buzzing about the beats that were blazin’ up pirate radio, clubs and record shops in London, and made it his mission to pioneer UK garage in the North.
In production terms Oris’s sound has been unique from the outset, influenced by dark, edgy d&b and the vibe of 2-step and UK garage. His underground anthem ‘Biggin Up The Massive’, featuring a sample of MC Ranking, is an early example of his fire…. Legendary garage DJ EZ began to rinse it, Oris broke London and the rest of the planet was fast to follow..
Tunes like ‘Said The Spider’ and ‘Raisin’ Kane’ cemented his reputation as a dark garage master, and the creator of a sound that went on to form the first blueprint for Dubstep.
There are lovers of Oris’s beats everywhere… Mary Anne Hobbs and Plastician from BBC Radio 1… dubstep DJs, Skream, Loefah, Distance and Pinch… breaks boys, Stanton Warriors, BLIM, Freq Nasty and Aquasky.. broken beat kings like Dego (4 Hero), Charlie Dark (Attica Blues) and Bugz in the Attic.. as well as 2-step names, MJ Cole, Pay As U Go and Heartless Crew.
Oris had a top 40 hit with his tune ‘Trippin’… he’s collaborated with everyone from Ms Dynamite to Rodney P… released on labels including Polydor, Tectonic, Planet Mu, EMI, Bingo, Storming Productions and Hospital … featured on Nitin Sawhney’s Fabric Live compilation and Freq Nasty’s Breakspoll CD…. and in 2007 he continues to innovate and inform at the highest level and cutting edge of electronic music….

Amon Tobin - new web store
They can now get things to you all fast and hassle free, straight to you listeners and in return you listeners are helping to support Amon directly.
Also they’ve decided to only release the best audio quality possible. The digital age has decreased sound quality and we do not want to contribute to this...So, WAV/AIFF or 392 MP3 only.
To kickoff the new store they are offering an official release of Amon's score of the Hungarian film Taxidermia. The EP is now exclusively being sold here in two formats, WAV or MP3. View the film site here.
The real killer though is a section named "This Month's Joint". Every month an exclusive song will be released direct to you from the lab! This month the song is titled "delpher".
Finally there are posters of Amon Tobin album artwork for everyone to put on their walls! They have started with five different designs all created by Openmind and hope to continue to add more to the store in the future.
Do not forget to enter the "freebie" section and take advantage of all the free downloads.
Gui Boratto 'Beautiful Life'

Gui Boratto is a Brazilian architect/musician/composer/producer and his new album 'Chromophobia' will likely be the first you've heard of Brazilian electronic music. In short, it's bliss.
'Beautiful Life' is the album's clear stand out, the kind of song that's as much pure pop as it is electronic. As the female vocal repeats, 'What a beautiful life, what a beautiful life', Boratto brings a heartbeat to the often metronomic precision of synthesizers, lifting them up euphorically as the song builds in pulsing, melodic waves. Running at over eight minutes, you might imagine things dragging on too long. But as the beat whirrs to a close, you'll be reaching for the repeat button, wishing that the 'Beautiful Life' would never end. Nick Christie

Cut | Copy | Paste has been the motto for each film. To let the technique be the starting point and guideline and to the greatest extent possible work analogue.

Roots Manuva - 'Buff Buff'
Welcome to "Buff Nuff". Directed by Alastair Siddons (who did "Too Cold" for the last Roots Manuva campaign, as well as work for The Streets and Mitchell Brothers, and has currently just finished up the feature length breakdance documentary "Turn It Loose"), it features Roots Manuva and longtime associate Ricky Ranking as itinerent ice cream salesman, wooing the good women of Hackney with cones full of creamy goodness. As for the music, Mr Manuva comes blazing back into action with a wonderful slice of Sheffield dancehall cooked up by the so-hot-it-hurts Toddla T, mixed by the mighty Ross Orton (M.I.A. etc) and weighed down with lyrical wonderment and silly genius by the one and only Rodney Smith.Propulsive, compulsive, half sexy and half really funny, "Buff Nuff" consists of Mr Manuva begging a girl for it, offering incentives including a ride on his pushbike, and packing in the treble entendres like prophylactics in an 18-30s tour rep's suitcase. As if this wasn't enough, he also rocks a wig that would put Rick James to shame.
"Buff Nuff" is released on the 30th June.

TRG
‘The excitement surrounding Bucharest’s dubstep sensation TRG has been steadily growing with Mary Anne Hobbs championing his first release, Put You down/ Broken Heart on BBC Radio 1, followed by an enviable music press coverage in ATM, iDJ, Mixmag, Dummy, One Week To Live and support from the blogosphere. Releasing later tracks on Hotflush, Hessle Audio, Subway, Immerse, Audio Freakz have put TRG firmly on the music map, with sonic excursions from dubbed-out minimal finesse to mutant garage revival to full-on breakbeat mayhem.
Says Pitchfork:”More evidence that swing is in the air comes from an unlikely location: Romanian producer TRG.
As new school dubstep wallows in mid-range distorted synths and energy through b-line modulation, this producer seems to have found a rich vein of form inspired by dubstep’s earliest years.”
Drawing from a range of influences that include Basic Channel, early jungle, dark garage, classic dancehall and wonky electro, TRG’s tracks and remixes by Martyn or 2562 have been rinsed by diverse DJs such as Mary Anne Hobbs, Tayo, Skream, Benga, Benji B, Gilles Peterson, Kode 9, DJ Flight, Bailey, Pinch, Distance, Appleblim.
The tunes have garnered praise from dubstep, minimal, techno to breakbeat and drumandbass scenes. His remix work includes interpretations for Tayo, Baobinga, Black Canvas to name a few. His collab with Benga and garage/ dnb don Zinc has been released on the influential Red Bull Music Academy Various Assets Compilation.
With appearances on the genre defining Dubstep Allstars mixed CD series on Tempa and a forthcoming single on the same label, as well as being included on mighty Soul Jazz Records’ Steppaz Delight compilation, TRG sets the mark for eclectic bass music in 2008.’
