Cut
Cut from Peter Lundgren.
Cut | Copy | Paste is about getting to grips with things that never get done. Music that was never completed got completed and dressed in a colorful costume. Cut | Copy | Paste has been the motto for each film. To let the technique be the starting point and guideline and to the greatest extent possible work analogue. Cut | Copy | Paste is a peaceful tribute to the idea that you with limited resources can do a great deal.

Peripetics by ZEITGUISED from NotForPaper.
As quoted from Zeitguised website, “Zeitguised made a piece in six acts for the opening exhibition at the Zirkel Gallery. It entails six imaginations of disoriented systems that take a catastrophic turn, including the evolution of educational plant-body-machine models and liquid building materials.”

Fabriclive 42 - Freq Nasty
As soon as this came through the door, it was a mad rush to slam it in the CD drive. When you do you soon realise that this is going to be something different. The track list contains Freq Nasty productions as well as upcoming names including Reso, TRG and the mighty Tayo. It's 'Bass music'!The mix starts of with sirens and the thought provoking 'The Pledge of Resistance' followed by 'Creator' which again seems to be about lies and materialism. Then comes in - 'Peacemaker', an awesome tune with brilliant production and the kind of sound that you would normally associate with Freq Nasty. High energy beats and bass. Baobinga's remix of Duckalicious is another high energy killer tune mixed in with Rusko's dub stepper 'Bring it on'. By the time Reso's 'If you can't beat em' is brought in, you find yourself wondering whether this mix is going end your life. Reso is one dark producer.
Listening to the first 5 tracks or so on this mix you will have heard, dubstep, house, techno and hip hop influences. Basically you're in for a treat. By the time 'Change the game' is spinning your listening to jacking electro house with a filthy bassline and nauseous vocals.
Admittedly, things get a bit strange when ZTT comes in. A techno odyssey with bleeps and squeaks leaving you a little lost in someone else's sonic playground. The last thing that you would think of mixing to it is Resos remix of '2 faced rasta' and all of a sudden you are once again in familiar territory.
Freq Nasty is showing incredible flexibility and open mindedness with his selections. The remix of Lee Scratch Perry's 'God smiled' mixed together with Tayo's 'March of the Soundbwoyz' and RodneyP's rap on 'Come let me know' is brilliant. And again, from the dub influences of the aforementioned we go into Baobinga's flithy bass house production 'State of Ghetto Jackin' followed by electro beats and a guitar riff bouncer of 'Epydemix'.
KRS-One's remix by Freq Nasty is a heavy breaker and provides a bridge to 'How You Like Me Now?' by Rico Tubbs. Reso's remix of Buraka Som Sistema 'Kaslemba Wegue Wegue' is spot on with full speed stabbing kick drums. 'Snared' is a nice little breather but an absolutely brilliant tune bridged by TRG's 'Oi! Killa!' that again injects the mix with raw dirty bass. If you're not panting like a dog possessed things get even betterer. 'Viva Tibet' by Freq Nasty vs. Bassline deals you with an uppercut to the chin. A down tempo tune with a sick bassline and vocals, right before 'Godda Get It' by Radioclit vs. No Surrender, a hip-hop, crunk, dubstep killer.
The mix finishes with 'Above and Beyond Dem' by Nate Mars ft. Jahdan, a ragga tune torturing your speakers with kicks and a deep bass.

Delicate Boundries
Delicate Boundaries from csugrue
As digital technologies become more embedded in everyday life, the line between the virtual and real is increasingly blurred. "Delicate Boundaries" is an interactive artwork that allows the spaces inside our digital devices to move into the physical world. Small bugs made of light, crawl out of the computer screen onto the human bodies that make contact with them. The system explores the subtle boundaries that exist between foreign systems and what it might mean to cross them.

DEFACED from LORCAN FINNEGAN
"A man, trapped in the confines of a corporate poster, tries to escape and become part of the street art on the opposite wall. Although the street art is free, it is condemned and usually destroyed to make way for advertising, a risk he is willing to take to be with the stencilled girl on the other side."

Dub War Podcast 05 - Ramadanman

Download
This contribution to the Dub War Podcast series showcases the sort of minimalism and rhythmic inventiveness that have given Ramadanman a voice in defining the shape of dubstep as it continues to push forward into unexplored territory. Techno, house and ambient are merely tips of the iceberg hinting at what lies beneath. Freshness!
